Team Results
6/1/2017 Linden JV Baseball split 2 games at the Flint Metro League JV Championship tournament held at Flushing High School to finish in third place.  The Eagles entered the tournament as the number 2 seed based on their finishing with the second best record for the regular season. 
In game 1 Linden faced number 3 seed and eventual champion Fenton in a hard fought rivalry game. The game was tied 3-3 in the top of the 7th inning, but Seeger DeGayner walked the leadoff batter and then had trouble fielding a bunt.  Following an out, Fenton then slugged a 2 run double and then produced single scoring 3 runs.  Dustin White came home in the bottom of the inning for Linden to finish the scoring.  The Eagles lost 6-4 despite out hitting Fenton 10-6 in the contest.  The Eagles undoing was due to 7 walks, 4 of which turned into Fenton runs and not getting a timely hit with runners in scoring position.  Getting hits for the Eagles were Zach Horst and Easton Giacomantonio getting 2 each and Dustin White, Seeger DeGayner, Ben King, Jeff Metzger, Luke Kenney, and Colby Kolmesher each collecting one apiece. 
Braden Banasiak started for Linden and was relived by DeGayner who took the loss.
In game 2 Linden jumped on Swartz Creek for 7 runs to spearhead a 7-1 victory.  Getting hits for Linden were Calib Neuville with 3 Seeger DeGayner with 2 and Nathan Howard, Dustin white, Luke Kenney, Ben King, and Richie Linn with one each.  Duncan Jacques started and picked up the win for The Eagles.
The Eagles finished their season with a 16-5-1 record.  The coaching staff is very pleased with their improvement an effort.  Many of these players are ready to make their mark on the Varsity next year.

Blake Smiecinski pitched a shutout to lead the Eagles to a 10-0 run-rule game vs Kearsley at home on Monday. Spencer Rivera had 2 hits including an in the park home run.
In game two, Linden played another short game with a run-rule victory over the Hornets 11-1. Noah Pearce pitched a great game. Brandon Kaluza, Hunter Babcock and Ian Crampton each had hits.
Blake Smicienski with the 3-1 win on the mound. Spencer Rivera with three hits.
Plethora of other Eagles with 1 hit including Noah Pearce, Jacob Conly, Carson Birchmeier and Nick Koan.

The Eagles split a Metro League double header with Flushing 3-6 and 14-2. Corbin Sines had three hits on the day. Ian Crampton, Nathan Howard and Jacob Cnly each had a hit. Hunter Babcock had the win from the mound in game two.
Lake Fenton
Zac Horst had two hits on the day and Drake McLaughlin and Jacob Gagne provided great pictching to help the Eagles to a sweep of Lake Fenton 9-5 and 2-1.
Swartz Creek
The Eagles hosted Swartz Creek on Monday and defeated the Dragons 8-0 in the first game. Blake Smiecinski pitched a complete game one hit shutout for Linden. This was the best game of the season both offensively and defensively. Noah Pearce gave a standout performance at 3rd base.
Travis Klocek pitched tough in the nightcap, but the Eagles feel 3-7 to Creek. Noah Pearce had two hits.

Linden JV baseball ​lost a tight game 6-5 to Goodrich at home on Friday. Hunter Babcock pitched well.
Drake McLaughlin, Hunter Babcock and Nick Koan had two hits each. In the second game, Carson Birchmeier got the 4-2 win on the mound. Noah Pearch and Corbin Sines each had hits.
The JV Eagles swept a double header at Holly on Thursday by scores of 14-13 and 11-1. In game one, Blake Smicienski pitched a tough game and had two hits to help his own cause. Nick Koan and Jacob Conly also had two hits apiece.
In the nightcap, Brandon Kaluza, Noah Giacomantonio and Nathan Howard each had big hits. Drake McLaughlin got the win on the mound.
Mt. Morris
The JV baseball team opened their season with a sweep at non-league Mt. Morris. The Eagles won the first game 11-5 and followed with a 21-0 shutout in the nightcap. Drake McLaughlin pitched a one hit shut out in game two. McLaughlin and Spencer Rivera had three hits on the day. Overall, the team had a solid offensive performance.
The Eagles pounded Durand by the score of 22-2. The Eagles had 19 hits in just 3 innings. Ian Crampton pitched all 3 innings only giving up 2 runs and striking out 3 batters. Jakob Gagne went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 3 runs batted, while scoring 3 runs. Hunter Babcock had 3 hits and 3 Rbi's. Drake McLaughlin had 3 hits and 4 RBI's. Cole Sarkon had 2 hits with 2 Rbi's, Ryker Rivera and Brendan Buerkel each had two hits with as well. Nick Rossow, and James Roan also added some offensive fire power in game one. The Eagles have scored nearly 65 runs in their last four games.
Game two.
The Eagles finished their season with a 14-6 win. Nick Rossow led the Eagles attack with 4 hits and 2 rBI'S, Jakob Gagne had 2 hits and 2 runs batted in. Hunter Babcock was 2-2 with Rbi. Drake McLaughlin ad 2 hits and 2 Rbi's. James Roan had 3 hits Rbi. Cole Sarkon, Ian Crampton, Ryker RIvera, and Carson Birchmeier also had hits, as the eagles had 17 hits in the night cap. The Eagles finished the season with a record of 23-4-1. Great Season Boys.
The Eagles won an offensive slugfest. The Eagles had 17 hits and won the game 21 to 17. Ryker Rivera went 2-2 with 2 rbis, and 4 runs scored. Brendan Buerkel had 2 hits and 2 RBI"S, Hunter Babcock had 2 hits and 3 runs batted in. Gabe Nosek had 4 hits with a RBI, Sawyer Benge had 2 hits with 3 RBI's and a sacrifice fly. Ian Crampton had 2 hits, Cole Sarkon and Trey Link also added a hits. Jakob Gagne saved the day, by pitching 2 scoreless innings to save the victory for the Eagles.
Cole Sarkon pitched a NO HITTER in the nightcap, in 5 innings complete game striking out 5. The Eagles won 7 to 0. Ryker Rivera had a triple and 2 RBI"S, Brendan Buerkel had a hit. Gabe Nosek had a hit and RBi. Drake McLaughlin had a double and run scored. James Roan went 2-2 and 2 runs scored. Carson Birchmeir had a hit and Rbi. Nick Rossow added a hit. The Eagles 21-4-1.
The Eagles and Tigers tied game one 2-2. Sawyer struck out 9 batters in 6 innings. Ryker Rivera and Cole Sarkon added hits and scored a run.
Trey Link got the win as the Eagles beat The Tigers 5-1 in the night cap. Trey struck out 5 in 4 innings and Cole Sarkon pitched the fifth inning. Brendan Buerkel had a hit and scored a run, Hunter Babcock hit a double and had 2 rbis. Sawyer Benge added a sac fly with an rbi. The Eagles are 19-4-1 on the season.
Sawyer Benge pitched a complete game one hitter striking out 10 batters, as the Eagles won 6 to 0. The offensive attack was led by Ryker Rivera and Brendan Buerkel. Ryker had 2 hits was on base 3 times and scored 2 runs. Brendan Buerkel had 3 hits and knocked in one run, and freshman Hunter Babcock had 1 hit with 2 Rbi's. Gabe Nosek also added 2 hits and a run batted in.
Hunter Babcock pitched a no hitter striking out 3 in 5 innings of the second game, the Eagles won 2 to 0. The Eagles scored 2 runs in the first, as the lead held up. Brendan Buerkel went 2-2 with rbi and run scored, and Hunter Babcock had a hit and Rbi to help out his own cause. Sawyer Benge also added a hit. The Eagles are now 16 and 4 on the year.
Gabe Nosek, pitched 5 innings , giving up 1 run on 5 hits and 6 strike outs. Jamin Link pitched the 6 inning shutting down Kearsley in game one as the Eagles won 14-1. The offensive attack was led by Brendan Buerkel who went 4-4 with a walk, 2 runs scored, 4 stolen bases, and 4 Rbi's. Ryker Rivera also crushed the ball going 2-3 with a triple and inside the park home run, with 3 RBI"s and 2 walks. Lucas Marshall had 2 hits 3 walks and 2 runs scored. Carson Birchmeier went 2-4 with a RBI, Jamin Link, James Roan, and Noah Pearce also had hits.
Game 2
Trey Link led the Eagles to a game two win. The final score was 2-1. Link pitched a no hitter only giving up 1 unearned run. He struck out 5 hitters and only walked on 2 walks. Lucas Marshall and Jakob Gagne had the only hits for the Eagles as well in game 2 knocking in both of the Eagles runs. The Eagles are 14-4 on the season.
Clarkston Tourney
Linden JV splits in tournament going 1-1.
In game one Lucas Marshall pitched a complete game only giving up one run, on 2 hits, 3 walks and striking out 7. Ryker Rivera went 2-3 with a run and stolen base. Drake McLaughlin had a hit and RBI. Aaron Sarkon also added a hit and RBI as the Eagles won the first game 2-1.
The Eagles lost to Clarkston 4-3 in a great game. The Eagles had runners on 1st and second in the last inning with one out, but failed to score. Aaron Sarkon pitched a complete game striking out 5 runners giving up 5 hits, and 2 walks. He also had a huge double which drove in a run. Cole Sarkon also added a hit and an Rbi, and Gabe Nosek had a hit and Rbi as well. Brendan Buerkel and Ryker Rivera also added a hit. The Eagles are 12-4 on the year.
Ryker Rivera got the win pitching 3 innings striking out 6 batters on only 2 hits, Jakob Gagne pitched the final 2 innings as the Eagles won 14 to 1 in game one. Brendan Buerkel had 2 hits with a triple and 3 runs scored. Drake McLaughlin went 2-3 with 2 runs scored a sacrifice , stolen base and 3 RBi's. Cole Sarkon went 2-3 with walk, run and 3 Rbis. James Roan went 2-3 RBI, RUN and Sb. Jamin link also had 2 hits with a run scored and two Rbi's. Jakob Gagne, Ryker Rivera, Gabe Nosek, Lucas Marshall, and Sawyer Benge also had hits. The Eagles had 15 hits in only 5 innings played.
Game 2
Connor Faught Got the win Pitching 3 innings giving up 4 runs. Faught hit a mammoth 3 run blast that went over 350 feet. Jamin link had 2 hits RBI 3 runs scored and sb. Trey LInk had 2 hits and 2 RBI. James Roan went 1-1 with 2 sacrifice flies and 4 runs batted in. Jakob Gagne , Ian Crampton and Nick Rossow also had hits, as the Eagles won 12-4 in the night cap. The Eagles are now 11-3 on the year.
In game one vs. Flushing, Lucas Marshall led the Eagles attack going 4-4 and only missing the cycle by a home run. He also pitched 5 innings striking out 12 batters and only gave up 2 hits. Gabe Nosek and Brendan Buerkel had 2 hits. Sawyer Benge, Jamin Link, and Cole Sarkon each added a hit, but the Eagles lost 8-7 .
In the nightcap, Trey Link pitched a 5 inning complete game giving up 5 hits and 2 strikeouts as the Eagles rebounded to beat Flushing 4-2 in game two. Trey also had a hit and RBI. Ian Crampton led the Eagles offensive attack, knocking in 2 runs and having a hit and sacrifice fly. Brendan Buerkel, James Roan, and Gabe Nosek added hits for the Eagles.
Linden lost the first game 4 to 1 to Swartz Creek 4-1. The offensive attack was led by Drake McLaughlin who had a double and a single going 2-2 with a walk. Luke Marshall and Aaron Sarkon each had a hit as well.
Game 2 was much Better for the Eagles. Trey Link pitched a complete game with giving up 6 hits and striking out 8. The Eagles won 11-5. Brendan Buerkel went 2-4 with a RBI. Aaron Sarkon and Drake Mclaughlin had hits with Rbi's. Luke Marshall, Nick Rossow, Jamin Link, and Cole Sarkon each had hits as well with RBI's. The Eagles are 8-2 on the year.
Lucas Marshall and Sawyer Benge combined for a no hitter in game one. Marshall pitched 5 innings with 8 ks and 3 walks. Benge pitched the 6th and 7th inning striking out 3. Jamin Link led the offensive attack with one hit and 2 RBI's. Cole Sarkon had a hit with one RBI, Ryker Rivera had a hit and RBI, Gabe Nosek, and Jakub Gagne also drove in runs.

Aaron Sarkon pitched a gem of a game only giving up 2 hits on 8ks in 5 innings pitched. He lifted the Eagles to a 4 to 3 win. Jamin Link, James Roan, and Noah Pearce had hits. With James Roan, Jamin Link, and Ryker Riker Rivera drove in runs for the Eagles. JV Eagles are now 7-1 on the year.
Lake Fenton
The JV Eagles continue to roll with a sweep of Lake Fenton 7-1 and 11-0. In the first game Trey Link got the win. Lucas Marshall had a hit with 2 RBI's and a SB. Aaron Sarkon had 2 hits 2 RBI's and 4 SB. Drake Mclaughlin had 1 hit 2 runs scored. Ryker Rivera had a double with a run scored. Jamon Link had 3 put outs from behind the plate.
In the nightcap, James Roan got the win. Brendan Buerkel had 2 hits with a double and 2 runs scored. Gabe Nosek had 1 hit with 2 runs scored. Ian Crampton had 1 hit and 1 RBI. Jakub Gagne had 1 hit and 2 RBI's.
Lucas Marshall led the charge in game one, as the Eagles beat Fowlerville 11-1. Marshall had 8 strikeouts with only 2 walks. Marshall only gave up 3 hits and 1 unearned run. Ryker Rivera went 1-2 with 3 stolen bases, walks and scored 3 times. Aaron Sarkon went 2-3 with 2 stolen bases, scored a run and had a sacrifice fly. James Roan went 1-1 with a stolen base and a run scored. Cole Sarkon, and NIck Rossow had a hit and scored a run.. Jamon Link was dominate behind the plate, throwing out runners trying to steal, and scored a run.
Game 2
The Eagles Lost to Fowlerville 4-1. The JV Eagles are 3-1 on the year. Ryker Rivera went 1-1 with 2 walks, with one SB, Drake McLaughlin had two walks and scored the Eagles only run. The Jv Eagles have scored 40 runs in 4 games, and only given up 5 runs with 4 earned. A great start to the year.
Linden JV baseball had 16 runs on 9 hits in game 1 defeating Byron 16-0. The Eagles were led by Aaron Sarkon who went 2-3 with a grandslam home run and pitched a no hitter on 9 strike outs. Ryker Rivera had 4 SBS going 1-1 and 3 runs scores. Cole Sarkon went 2-2 scoring twice and adding 2 RBI's of his own. Sawyer Benge had 3 RBI's going 1-1 and scored twice. Brendan Buerkel, Gavbe Nosek and Lucas Marshall each had hits and 1 RBI.

In the night-cap, Sawyer Benge threw a no hitter dominating the hitters of Byron to win 12-0. Sawyer pitched 5 innings and had 14 strikeouts. Byron only put one ball in play which was fielded by Brendan Buerkel. Ryker Rivera led the offensive charge going 1-1 with 2 runs scored, a walk and 3 stolen bases. Nick Rossow, Drake McLaughlin and Noah Pearce walked twice and scored 2 runs.
